I totally flaked on you guys last week. The thing is – work started back up all of a sudden. Did they change the dates and I was taken unawares? No. I was just so fixated on not going back to work this year that I spaced it. Then on Tuesday I was in doing some beginning of the year stuff and I asked a coworker when we had to be back and he said “tomorrow.”

Oh. Crap.

So everything went down the tubes. Kickstarter? no time. Blog? no time. I messed up, big time. My timing totally sucks right now. And I hate the word “sucks,” so you know I really do. To top it off I now have the next Bree to revise and a Beta read to get done while working an 8+ hour day. (Actual work time is 8 hours as per the law, but with my kids in sports I spend a lot of time at work, working when I’m not supposed to be.) Mayhaps I will figure out how to revise in my off hours at work? I’ll try anyway.

So what makes me happy?

Will Wheaton’s Blog. He is such a good guy that he makes me smile. He adopts dogs, is nice to his fans and seems to really adore his wife. When ever I feel that guys are not worth the trouble I go read his blog. He makes me believe in the fundamental goodness of men. Not all men obviously, but then not all women are great either. Anyhow, if you need a dose of friendly go read Will Wheaton. He may not be earth shattering, but he knows how to share the love. In fact, he kind of reminds me of my brother when he was younger.

Wil Wheaton is awesome. Have you read his book ‘Just a Geek’? I really enjoyed it and my respect for him went up a couple of notches.

I hope things start calming down for you soon, this grown up thing is kind of a bummer sometimes. 🙂

“this grown up thing is kind of a bummer sometimes.”

Ain’t that the truth!

“He makes me believe in the fundamental goodness of men.”
That’s quite the endorsement. Sweet.
Sorry your payday got in the way of your writing. Mine does that all the time.
