Dear Wanda,

How much is too much when it comes to inviting/begging people to come to a home party for a direct marketing business. I’m hosting a party for fancy storage containers with a friend of mine and I want my friends to come, but I don’t want to be obnoxious about it. How many announcements can I make on Facebook? Is it too much to email everyone more than once? Should I twitter about it?

Is there proper ediquate when it comes to these things?

Sincerely,

Confused

Dear Confused,

Dang if I know. Maybe you should ask Miss Manners instead.

Unhelpfully,

Wanda

Dear Readers,

Can you help confused out? Because I’m clueless.

Sincerely,

Wanda

One invitation per media item. Like, a postcard in the real mail, an e-mail reminder, a Facebook “event” scheduled, and a tweet (if they do that), plus an Instagram would be fun. Then, about two or so days before (it’s been a long time, I don’t remember the suggestion exactly) you make a quick phone call. I always did mine when I knew they wouldn’t be home so I could just leave a message.

I loved those parties………
