3/21/13 9:12 PM ETA: I’ve given away all my extras plus some now! Thanks everyone for playing. Keep your eyes open, you never know when I’m going to make another mistake to your benefit!
My mistake is your gain! Really.
I have close to twenty paperbacks to give away. A few of them have the old covers, a few of them are the wrong size. YEP, I ordered the wrong size books. Duh! (insert head slap here).
Actually, I did it on purpose so I could give them away to you.
The specifics:
Moonlighting in Vermont
California Schemin’
I have about 10 – 14 of each. Leave a comment telling me which you would like and why. If I get more takers than I have books I’ll do a random drawing. Unless there are some really compelling/funny/bizarre reasons why. In those cases I reserve to right to send copies to those comments first. I especially like a good laugh… (hint, hint)
So what are you waiting for? Free paperbacks don’t come up that often these days!

Hi, I just found you on facebook!
I would love to try one of your books – the first in the series if you still have one available please.
Thanks
Steph
I’m sorry Stephanie, The free ones have all been snapped up. But keep checking back, you never know when I might do that again. You can also request that your library get a copy if you don’t want to purchase one. Or borrow from a friend…
Thanks so much, Kate. Boy I sure picked the right time to get a look at your site. Much appreciated.
You are welcome Beejay!
I would love to try your works out. I read at least 2 books a week and always love to read new people.
I would love to have California Schemin’ for two reasons. It is the first full day of spring here in Ohio, and when I woke up and looked out the window, it looked like a blizzard. I need something new to read while I’m snowed in. Plus, if I’m reading about California, I can pretend its really spring!
I would love to get a copy of Moonlighting………..just the blurb had me laughing. I can definitely relate to everyone having a say in your life. I have 5 brothers and many many cousins and friends who feel required to make comments about my life and now the lives of my 2 teenagers. . . .gotta love friends and family (because it’s against the law to do what you sometimes wish you could. . .lol)
Calirotnia Schemin’ for me, although I wouldn’t throw Moonlighting in Vermont back.
Being a California Girl through and through – born in Napa, raise in San Francisco – so that schemin’ sounds like something I should maybe have a look at.
Go, Kate! I love a mystery
Wait… books can be the wrong size? I was always sure that was what was best about them. Never the wrong size, never the wrong color, never makes your ass look fat. Just one of the things I love so much about them.
Kate
Love your books so much!!
I would love Moonlighting and California Scheming. Then I will have the whole set in paperback. I have them on my kindle but real books are so much better.
Kim
I would love moonlighting in Vermont. Nan Reinhardt got me reading California scheming. I’ll gladly read Vermont because I really liked scheming. Thank you. Harlene.
Moonlighting In Vermont cause, I need something to read, and I love mysteries. I have never read this series but it sounds really good. Thanks for the great giveaway.
Me! Me! Moonlighting please. I need a hard copy so I can loan it to my friend who usually loans me wonderful books.
I’d love to get a copy of both but especially Moonlighting in Vermont. I’m going for a not so nice surgery soon and will desperately need a distraction from my reality. Will be stuck in bed for a while and would love, love, love to be distracted by your characters. Otherwise I will be forced to torture the nurses at the hospital and the hubbie at home. Got to feel bad for one or all of them?
Id like both but if not you pick and would you be able to sign it? Im collecting books that are signed by my favorite authors. will you contact me for my address?
Of course I want a free book! Love all your books!
I’d love California Schemin’ because I’ve already read and loved Moonlighting in Vermont!
Could I please have California Schemin’ as I have Vermont in both paperback and Kindle
that’s if you’re willing to ship internationally…
I bought both books and loved them.
Babes, I want both fabulous novels — because I love your new avatar photo! I love that writer I see, sexy, funny, witty, wry, and knowledgeable as living heck. Plus, I’ve never been in Vermont and I live in California. And you’re so sweet, misordering books on purpose to gift to us — just adorable. Plus plus, thank you.
Ooh, pick me, pick me, for “California Schemin’”. I spent hours this afternoon pulling weeks, so I deserve a treat. Plus, it’s my birthday this week, so this would make a great present that I wouldn’t have to surreptitiously return. I’d try to be more convincing, but it’s St. Pat’s day and there is corned beef and cabbage waiting to be attended to.
Okay I want Moonlighting in Vermont because I haven’t read it and I deserve it because it’s St. Patrick’s Day and NO ONE GAVE ME GERARD BUTLER WITH A GREEN BOW TIED AROUND HIM. Is that really so much to ask? Maybe in the leather jacket from PS I Love You? I’m devastated. Also can I get an extra entry because I’m 34 years old and can’t spell “devastated”?
I didn’t Gerard Butler in any capacity
so I too would like Moonlighting in Vermont. I need to drown my sorrow in a great book.
I already have MiV, so could I get California Schemin’ (if you’re willing to ship internationally), just cause I really enjoy re-reading your books.
I’d love to get a copy of Moonlighting in Vermont for my sister. Her husband had a stroke in November and it still recovering in a rehab center. She spends a lot of time sitting with him and I know she would appreciate a great book to read while he sleeps.
Thanks Kate!
