Tis The Season – But You’d Never Know It

in Entertaining nonsense and profound thought

Sunday – Yesterday now I guess – we drove to Bunny’s Christmas Tree Farm and cut down our tree. Nice people at Bunny’s, and they seem to be doing well this year. That’s a good thing. But I’ll tell you something, for the first time in my Vermont memory there was no snow on the ground when we picked out our tree. I was wearing sneakers. Unheardof.

I’ll post pictures when I get them from my daughter’s phone.

11:55 am, ETA: Of course the weather made a liar out of me – woke to snow on the ground. The question is was it in spite of my bitching or because of my bitching… I think we all know.

Second of all, if you live within hollering distance of White River Junction, Vermont, you must go see White Christmas at Northern Stage. I saw it last night and it was very well done. Ezekiel is spot on. A native Vermonter through and through. Dancing and singing and fun. Go see it, you won’t be sorry.

I cut some greens and birch yesterday and felt the same lack of holiday-ness. This morning is making up for it!!!!! xo
