The thing I must confess to first is that my measurements were not precise and when I went to implement this design:
I discovered I couldn’t. The exercise bike wouldn’t actually fit next to the love seat. Also, the fancy pants surge protector that the TV plugs into – it’s cord was too short.
I had to make modifications. Then I found that my desk wouldn’t fit where I thought it would, mostly because the TV is now cattywonker. I will have to find a smaller table for my desk. Or just work at the kitchen table like always. The kitchen is better in the winter because the wood stove keeps the room toasty.
Any how the plan on the right is where I got to before I had to leave to take kids to appointments and then back to play rehearsal. Ugh. Luckily, the husband who doesn’t like change wasn’t too frosty about the lack of completion. I think he’s learning what side his bread is buttered on. It’s only taken 20 years.
The second thing I have to confess is that the photos I took while working on this project are missing. I don’t know where the heck they went. So I’ll leave you with a photo of where it’s at now at the end of the post. That’s the best I can do. Perhaps my camera needs batteries? Or perhaps it’s time for a new camera. Hah! I can’t even leave you with a photo of how the room looks now. The camera is acting like it’s taking pictures but it isn’t saving them. Blast.
AND… of course I haven’t bothered to do anything else so this how the living room remains. I’ll try and finish it today and post the final, final, final pictures on Monday.
