A list of scenes I’m writing for the next Bree mystery looks something like this:

The pool of burdocks and foam. (In fond memory of my ponies.)

The gantry crane of spiders. (A Tintin movie stunt.)

Snakes in boxes. (As a nod to Indiana Jones.)

The pit of spurting fire. (In honor of The Princess Bride.)

Tightwire of doom. (This one’s for Bird on a Wire.)

And there will be many more!

And did I tell you Bree has a broken leg in this book? Makes these scenes all the more interesting, don’t you think?

All those scenes sound intriguing.

Hi Kate, did you solve your missing z problem on the laptop? If not, here’s an easy solution: download some key remapping software and change a key you never use into a z.

Wow, Reb,

Great suggestion. I never even considered that. You just saved me from replacing the entire keyboard. Thanks!
