Sorry I’m reading re-runs of The Bloggess instead of posting today.

Oh, and also considering putting a gratuitous sex scene in Crazy Little Thing Called Dead just for fun. And, you know, for those people who don’t like books without sex. You know who you are.

For those of you who don’t like books with sex: I’ll put it at the end so you don’t have to read it.

Where do you fall out? Sex or no sex in your reading? And no there is no middle ground, so don’t even go there.

I don’t know… I don’t really care. I do get tired of them. Like, if there are 3-4 sex scenes in a book, I start skipping them, cause they stop being hot and I just want to get on with the plot.

Sex. Good. Put in plenty!

I don’t think I’m as discriminating as Skye and Karen. 😉

(Wait, you know what I mean.)

I like sex in books if it is appropriate for the material and the characters. Sometimes the briefest mention can be just . . . um . . . really hot if done right – see the Dock Scene in Monstrous Regiment of Women by Laurie King. In any scene, too much detail makes it seem clinical rather than sexy – kind of like how the REALLY scary stuff is what you can’t see. I’m with Skye on the JD Robb sex scenes. Yawn.

I like sex in my reading. But I admit I skip most of the sex scenes in the JD Robb books now because they are all the same old thing. I do read them in other books, however.
