You’re still here? Perhaps you were wondering if I went on an extended vacation?

No. It’s 24/7 puppy right now. She’s eating my hoodie as we speak.  We’ve named her Pippin, Pip for short and her days are filled with long naps punctuated with huge bursts of energy. Pip is both puppy and terrier, a very energetic combination. She’s five pounds of devil in the tiniest little body.

My vet says she’ll get to a whopping ten pounds a year from now.

House training is Raaather a pain in the snow, and I never considered myself a dog in a coat person, but I had to buy her a jacket because she was shivering nonstop.

I’m alternating between total despair at ever getting anything done ever again, ever, and working away with a sleeping puppy either in my lap or next to me on the couch. At least I’m getting my writing done – as they say – protect the work.

My dear lord she is cute! Awesomely cute! And I got a little internal chortle of glee over her name – once upon a time, a long, long time ago, I was a camp counselor and my camp name was Pippin. :D

We got a puppy (black lab) in October and I know exactly what you mean. I knew puppies take a lot of time (this is the third time we’ve had one), but knowing that and going through it are two entirely different things. I’m sure I would have finished my writing project weeks earlier without her. :-) She is a great dog, though, and we love her more every day. Have fun with Pip, she is adorable!
