(Pictures to come. I left the dern photo card in the car.)

ETA: At the Digby Visitors Center – wonderful WiFi to add my photos!

This is the view from the place I’m staying in Nova Scotia, Clementsport is the name of the town I think. It’s about half an hour north of Digby – the town that the ferry from St. John sails into. Not that I’m taking the Ferry. It’s hella expensive and only saves two and a half hours of driving time. We’ll be going around.

I’m alone for the day. Due to my oldest daughter’s need to see her boyfriend before he goes back to university, my three companions (and dog) have headed home a day early and I will pick up the four intrepid French speakers from university. They’ve been at a French immersion summer program for five weeks. I think it’s likely I will spend two days in a car with four fifteen year olds all speaking French. What fun!

I can understand a small amount of French, things my mother used to say like close the door and window. Also shut your mouth. That might come in handy on a drive with four teens.

Meanwhile I will spend the day alone (Yay!) trying to get some writing done and probably napping. I’ll have to find a coffee shop with wireless to get this posted and check my email. I probably have hundreds of emails to weed through.

I wish I’d thought to take photos of the view yesterday when it was sunny. It’s very beautiful here.

PS. I’m posting this from a Tim Horton’s. I just ate a Boston Cream Donut. Yum.

Oh how cool! Tell New Scotland I said hello, and would some day very much like to deliver greetings in person.

Also…… a quilt?! PICTURES OF THE QUILT ……please.

I’m glad you’re having fun! For me, Novia Scotia sounds very exotic. The closest I’ve ever been to it was when I was in a town outside of Fishkill, NY a little over 15 years ago. Hmm, maybe closer to 20. Yikes! I think your vacation sounds seriously cool!

I do hope your fifteen-year-olds are all speaking fluent French and that they don’t drive you bonkers. Maybe they’ll have acquired manners as well? 🙂

Manners? Not likely. Two of them are girls, however, and I know them. They will be mindful, my boys? Not so much!

I just had tea in a lighthouse. The ladies there were wonderful. I bought a quilt and a knitted pig. I couldn’t help myself. The pig made me so happy inside I couldn’t leave it there.
