Living With…

in Living With

I’ve been thinking about a new set of blog posts for a few days now. I’m calling them Living With and they will be about the things I live with that other people might relate to. Like a child with hydrocephalus, diabetes, and/or depression. It may be that by telling my experience I might be able to help some one who is living with the same, or a similar, problem. But this isn’t entirely altruistic, either. I think that by writing these things down I will be releasing them as well. And opening a dialog with others like myself.

Because I’ve been doing a lot of this stuff alone. It’s time to stop that. No man, or woman, is an island, no matter how off center they happen to be. And I’m quite a bit off center – and like it that way.

Wednesday will start the series. Living with a Child with Hydrocephalus, part 1, the first surgery.

I’ll be very interested to hear about it Topic 1 (as well as the rest of the series, of course.)

The only “exposure” I’ve had to it was a character in a Linda Laplante novel! I think he was one of the bad guys too, lol. So yeah… could use a better edumacation.

Good luck with the new blog series, Kate. I can tell you that blogging about my weight loss surgery, changing my life, resolving issues with food and so on at Weighty Matters has been a great help to me. There’s something about writing out everything that helps me process. The supportive comments are a bonus! I hope your experience with your blog posts is as positive!
