Eleven Questions Number Five and Six

April 15, 2011 · 3 comments

It’s Friday, my post is late, and I haven’t scanned my photos – so you are getting questions number five and six.  Have fun!

5. What is the best (most useful) critique you ever got on your work?

I’m sure you’ll think this is silly but my friend Meg dragged me into the twenty-first century by commenting on my formatting. I was still typing two spaces after a period. I had too much space between paragraphs. My formatting sucked, basically. She very kindly brought me up to date on the electronic age. That helped a lot. She also told me to write okay instead of OK.

6. What do you wear when you write?

I’m not quite sure what to do this this question. It really depends on where I am when I’m writing – and I write in all kinds of places! When I’m writing in bed I write in my pjs. My pjs usually consist of fleece Tinker Bell jammy bottoms and a T-shirt. I’ve got a pair of blue Tinker Bell Jammies and a pair of bright pink Tinker Bell jammies.

My second favorite thing to wear when writing is my leggings and either a short stretchy dress, or a long stretchy shirt. Comfort is really important to me. In the summer, when I don’t have a day job, I wear shorts and a tank top. Which makes sense. I wear shorts or capris and tanks tops all summer long.

I don’t go out much in summer.

I also garden in my jammies, I don’t know why it’s important for you to know this. But I like to garden early in the morning before it gets too hot. So I go out in my jammies – which are shorts and a tank top when it’s hot. I garden and get all sweaty and then I go take my shower.

So there you go. Two more fascinating facts about yours truly. Aren’t you impressed?

Can I just tell you how happy it made me to think of you gardening in your jammies?!

“jammies are a power suit when it comes to writing” – you are so funny Diva!

That’s really awesome about your friend Meg, Kate. I love it when someone gives me something kind of random that turns out to be ultra useful.
