As long as they’re well written. But much of the time I don’t think they advance the plot, they’re just pleasant erotic interludes and that’s how I – er – use them. In which case… I’d rather just have (a) a set of really good erotica, and then (b) a set of really good romances where the sex scenes are only there when they make the book better, as opposed to being there for our jollification purposes. I mean, when I need to heed the call of the wild, why should I have to thumb through a 500 page Jilly Cooper novel trying to find a favorite scene? I’d rather pick up Linda Jaivin’s Eat Me and be ready to go! <– Too much information? Well… you did say talk dirty. I tried to be as euphemistic as I could. 😉

Yep. Like them. I don’t mind if they fade to the fire at a crucial moment but there is a reason I have read Mr. Maybe by Jane Green so many times and it isn’t the subtlety of the plot. 🙂

Porn. I think there should be more sex in many books. So probably I should just start reading porn. Now I will go retweet you. (Crap, I hope none of my kids follow me here though.)

I do like sex scenes. I guess the furtherest I want to go – er read – is Erin McCarthy type, almost soft porn scenes. I love comedy in sex scenes. I absolutely love the scene in Faking It (Crusie) when Tilda realizes Davey knows her secrets and she can be free with him and she makes him con her – classic. Also the sex scenes in Welcome to Temptation like the one where he deliberately throws things so they will get caught – so funny.
