Bested by Technology

July 27, 2011, 12:33 pm Edited to add: Diva saved me! Look at the bottom of the post, my first phone to email picture!

I’m having technology problems. I took a photo with my phone that I wanted to do stuff with. You know, like send it to my email so that I could put it up here and print it so I could take it to a friend. Seems I can’t email photos from my phone. Why not? My daughter can email from her phone.

So I tried sending it to my internet device phone number. That should work, right? I got a message than I had to go to a specific internet place belonging to Verizon to get that photo. I thought it would be obvious so I ignored that message because I wanted to do it later. Wrong. No where to be found. Can’t find the message, can’t find the spot on Verizon that it might be stashed. It’s very annoying.

Now I have to get out my camera and go back and take the pictures over again. That sucks big time. Not that it would be difficult, it’s just that  I have to remember to do it. It’s the remembering that causes the problems. Before I had kids I could remember everything. This is no longer the case.

And it was a picture of an arbor which I was hoping a friend’s son might be able to make for me. Looking at a tiny picture on my phone screen isn’t going to cut it. Rats. Poop. I guess I’ll find another picture to show you.

This is a picture I found somewhere on the internet ages ago. It’s my desktop background. The sheep’s name is Dobbin, and that’s about all I know – except this is an exceptionally intelligent sheep. Just look at those eyes!

We have 2 dvd players that don’t work because we can’t figure out how to hook them up to the new television system. Gotta wait for my kids to do it for us.
I like the arbor now that I see it.

I can’t email with my phone but I can text a picture message to my email address. All I do is create a pic message and in the “to” line, I switch from 123 to ABC and type in my email. I’m not verizon though…good luck!

Oh Diva you are so Tech Savvy – I tried that and it seemed to work – well I sent it, haven’t received it yet though. I’ll keep you posted!

Well, if we can’t have an arbor a Dobin will do…

The other day my neighbor seeing my daughter headed for her car, called her over and handed her his phone and basically requested that she ‘make it work’. I have a visual of this gentleman wandering down the street handing his phone to every likely youngster. In the end he’s in cuffs complaining to the policeman, “But Officer, I just wanted to call my daughter. She bought me this new fangled contraption and I can’t get it to work.”

My parents do this to all of my kids. Poor guy, glad your girl was there!
