Bad Advice from Bitchy Bertha: It’s Not Just the Sex!

in Entertaining nonsense and profound thought

Dear Bertha:

I lived with my boyfriend. I am 21, he’s 22. Both of us are still in school. I don’t understand why he doesn’t want to have sex with me. He shuts me down every time I initiate it and makes pretty cutting remarks. He also a real downer always trying to ruin my good mood.  He can’t talk to me at all, he shuts down and ignores me, unless he’s crying or going into  a rage. Or he just ignores me. We’ve had some good times and I don’t want to hurt him.  What should I do?

Sincerely,

Reluctant to Give-Up

Dear Reluctant,

There is no there there. That boy already left you, he just didn’t move out. Pack your bags and go. He’s passive-aggressive and is lacking a set, so getting  him to move out is going to be more trouble than it’s worth. Unless you own the  apartment, or the lease is in your name you can just go.

If your name is on any of the utilities be sure to cancel them,

If this is your apartment and you don’t want to leave, grow a pair yourself, pack up his stuff and change the locks.

Don’t pretend to  yourself that this relationship can be saved. It’s been dead for a while.

Best wishes,

Bitchy Bertha
