That, of course, is the date of the Let Your Imagination Take Flight writer’s conference – also know as LYITF – put on by the New England Chapter of the RWA. (Romance Writers of America) Before I go farther let me just say that if you are looking for an association to join the RWA is fantastic, even if you don’t write romance. Very pro writer and has fantastic conferences and workshops good for any genre.

Back on topic here, I happen to be the Chair of the LYITF conference for 2011 and I have to say it’s looking pretty darn good! We’ve got Lani Diane Rich aka Lucy March as our Keynote Speaker. We’ve got Donald Maass as our Extra Workshop presenter. We’ve got Anne Stuart speaking Friday at Dinner, and Annette Blair speaking at lunch on Saturday. We are sorting through the workshops now, and let me tell you it’s a hard choice. We’ve got TONS of good proposals. I’m excited.

Then of course there is location – Historic Salem, Mass. The Salem of witch trials and lovely ocean views. A destination. Especially for writers that like something a little romantic or a little paranormal. Very Fun. I can’t wait to see all the historic stuff.

We are a week into early registration and already we are one quarter full. And the hotel is almost booked. (People must be booking their hotel rooms before registering for the conference!) But have no fear, there are two overflow hotels close by and a good time will be had by all. However, if you are planning to go, I suggest not waiting too long to register. I think it’s possible we’ll sell out.

How fabulous is that?

Unfortunately, Wander Inn is also on Main Street- This is not a big town. I knew you would remember Marly, thanks so much.

I just figured out how I remembered this. It was “Main Sweet” on Main Street, and I thought that was so great. What street is “The Wander Inn” on?

Hi, Kate – I was scrolling down at Lucy’s place on my break and saw your question, but I had to wait until I got home to answer. I remember! I think. It was “Main Sweet”, right? I LOVE that name for a candy store and it goes so perfectly with “The Wander INN”. I love what you’ve written so far. “Glimmer Girls” is going to be the best book.

Never mind, found the link. Now I just have to scrape together some money and convince my husband.
