I’ve lived in my house almost seven years and I noticed something this morning that I’ve never noticed before. The ridge across the valley from the hill I live on is covered with trees. I knew that, I’d just never really noticed. But this morning before the sun crested the ridge I could see the light behind the bare trees. Like fuzzy hair sticking up off someone’s head.
I’ve noticed this before on other hills here. Often when I’m driving down the freeway in the winter. But I was surprised this morning. Why haven’t I ever noticed that before? I’m often awake early in the morning. But lying in bed this morning it jumped out at me. The tree covered hill, dark with the sky lightening behind it.
Interesting.
You know what else is interesting? Chipoos and spuggles. I want one. I know, I know. I’m nutty about dogs.

It’s funny what we notice isn’t it? I love when this happens to me. It’s like a gift, but a gift you didn’t know you had.
Very cute dogs, but I don’t enjoy the names. Not as adorable as the dogs by far.
